May Lismore Gemfest The largest gem, crystal, jewellery and fossil show in regional Australia, attracting around 5,000 visitors and over 100 traders. June Lismore Lantern Parade This award-winning festival lights up the streets every Winter's Solstice with a magical parade, fiery finale and colossal street party. July 4WD Caravan, Camping & Marine Show All the latest in 4WD, caravan and motorhome vehicles and accessories, plus boats, camping and outdoor living and travel destinations. Opera at The Channon Fine food and wine and some of Australia's best operatic talent in the picturesque setting of The Channon's Coronation Park. September Lismore Cup Racing Carnival The annual Lismore Cup Race Day is the feature race meeting on the Far North Coast and the social event of the year with a half day public holiday in the Lismore region. Rainbow Region Masters Games (biennially) Held biennially, the Rainbow Region Masters Games is a fun-filled, multi-sports event for over 30 year olds with a legendary welcome party and sports ranging from baseball to swimming, 8-ball pool to netball. October North Coast National (Lismore Show) The biggest agricultural event in regional Australia features agriculture and industrial exhibitions, rodeo, circus, music and ring events, sideshow alley and heaps of fun for the whole family. Sustainable Living Expo A "green" component of the North Coast National, the Sustainable Living Expo features exhibits, workshops, a fantastic local food hall and a non-stop talking tent showcasing our finest thinking in carbon neutral living, renewable energy and "green eating." December Tropical Fruits New Year's Eve Party Annual inclusive New Year's Eve celebration hosted by the gay and lesbian community. NORPA -- year round calendar of spectacular theatre, dance and performance.
